8 Steps

  1. Study concentrate for 45 minutes.
  2. Improve your active vocabulary. Which means, expose yourself to English whatever for the next 6 months. TV only in English, music, radio, series, whatever entertains you.
  3. Identify keywords in the questions, they give you a hint to what you need to pay attention to.
  4. Try to see your preparation for the  IELTs as an investment and not as some boring and tiring daily task.
  5. Practice under real exam conditions. Set the real test time on a  stopwatch. That forces your to deal with the real time you have at the test.
  6. Study from your common mistakes. Make a list of common mistakes so you can be aware of them and set a strict routine to avoid them again.
  7. Read and listen at the same time. I know it sounds hard but it is possible. It is just a matter of lots of practice. Over and over
  8. Try to finish your listening test sooner than 45 minutes, because you still need 3 minutes to transfer your answers to the answer sheet.
